ผมใฝ่ฝันที่จะสร้างวัด (อุโบสถ) สักหลังก่อนตาย สาเหตุเพราะผมเป็นชาวพุทธแท้ ผมเป็นจิตรกร หลังจากที่ผมได้ทำบุญครั้งใหญ่ ปี ๒๕๒๗ ด้วยการเดินทางไปเขียนจิตรกรรมฝาผนังถวายเป็นพุทธบูชาที่วัดพุทธปทีป ประเทศอังกฤษ เป็นเวลา ๔ ปี ผมหมดเงินที่เคยสะสมมา ผมเริ่มต้นนับหนึ่งใหม่
ปี ๒๕๓๑ ผมกลับไปที่บ้านเกิดของผม เพื่อกราบหลวงพ่อและถวายรูปพิมพ์ผลงานวัดพุทธปทีปให้ท่าน วัดบ้านผมทรุดโทรมมาก หลวงพ่อสมภารสุขภาพไม่ดีและชราภาพมาก อุโบสถหลังเล็กๆ ที่ผมเคยจำความได้ เคยเห็นพ่อผมกับเพื่อน ๆ ท่านในหมู่บ้าน ชักไม้ด้วยช้างมาร่วมกันสร้างวัด ผมเคยเห็นหลวงพ่อ ตายาย พ่อแม่ และพี่น้องชาวบ้านเดินทางไปอาราธนาหลวงพ่อศิลาดำใส่เกวียนออกมาจากป่า
ผมเข้าไปในโบสถ์ที่ใชัสังฆกรรมไม่ได้ด้วยเหตุเพราะชำรุดมาก และกลายเป็นที่อยู่ของค้างคาวฝูงใหญ่ ผมตั้งอธิษฐานจิต ถ้าชีวิตผมพร้อมเมื่อไหร่ ผมจะกลับมาสร้างโบสถ์ใหม่ให้ได้ เวลา ๑๐ ปี ผ่านไปด้วยกุศลจิต ชีวิตผมและครอบครัวประสบความสำเร็จทุกอย่างพร้อมแล้ว
ผมกลับไปบ้านเกิดดำเนินการร่วมกับหลวงพ่อสมภาร เริ่มร่างรูปอุโบสถหลังใหม่ตามจิตนาการของท่าน เพื่อให้ท่านได้มีส่วนร่วม ดังนั้น โครงสร้างลักษณะสถาปัตยกรรมในปีแรกจึงเป็นแบบตามใจหลวงพ่อสมภาร
ใน ๒ ปีต่อมา ผมได้มาเริ่มต่อเติมเพิ่มสถาปัตยกรรมให้สง่าแปลกตาขึ้น โดยเพิ่มบันไดด้านข้างขึ้น ประดับเปลวพระรัศมี ทั้ง ๔ แบบ และขุดสระสร้างสะพานข้ามเข้าสู่อุโบสถ พร้อมกับงานตกแต่งในเรื่องของลวดลายปูนปั้นประดับกระจกภายนอก เขียนแบบและหาช่างพื้นบ้านและแม่บ้านในหมู่บ้านมาฝึกสอนปั้นและประดับกระจกทั้งหมด ๑๐ คน
ผมได้เริ่มงานมาถึงบัดนี้ ปี ๒๕๔๓ ๓ ปีแล้วครับ คาดว่า จะใช้เวลาอีก ๗ ปี ถึงจะแล้วเสร็จสมบูรณ์ ทั้งลวดลายปูนปั้นภายนอกและจิตรกรรมฝาผนังภายใน ผมต้องหาเงินปีละประมาณล้านถึงสองล้านบาทเพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชิ้นสุดท้ายของชีวิตผมให้ดีที่สุด เท่าที่ฝีมือและสติปัญญาผมมีอยู่
วัดร่องขุ่นจะเป็นศิลป์สมบัติของคนไทยทุกคนและสุดท้ายวัดร่องขุ่นอาจเป็นศิลป์สมบัติอีกแห่งหนึ่งที่มีคุณค่าแก่โลกมนุษย์ในอนาคตก็ได้ แต่ทุกสิ่งไม่สำคัญเท่ากับบุญกุศลที่ผมและท่านผู้มีจิตศรัทธาทุกท่านอุทิศถวายเพื่อเป็นทิพยสถานและพระนิพพานเป็นที่สุด
